Louis has been writing since she was a young child, taking pleasure in writing short stories and poems. She also has an English A level plus college qualifications in information technology, computer applications and media studies.After moving to Ireland in 2000, she began writing freelance feature articles for Backpacker Ireland magazine, as well as for the Evening Herald and other local magazines and newspapers. This eventually led to her setting up and serving as editor-in-chief on an online entertainment e-zine called frankthemonkey.com which, in its heyday, had over 170,000 readers, and covered news and reviews in all aspects of entertainment.

Louis is an accomplished graphic and web designer and has put her skills to use in many formats. She is adept at designing leaflets, flyers, menus, brochures and magazine layouts. She has more recently been involved in writing a great deal of travel guides and reviews and has been copy-editing for the past year.

In her spare time she enjoys cookery and writing recipes on her cookery blog, lookinatmycookin.com, and is an avid board-gamer. She also has a number of other hobbies, which put her in good stead for writing articles on a wide variety of subjects.
